When: March 8th 7:00am to 5:00pm
Lobby Surge
Florida Alliance and Tea Party Network will be conducting legislative outreach during the opening week of the Florida legislative session. The kick off to the weeks work begins on March 8th at 7:00am as grassroots members from across the state line up to meet with their representatives and key committee chairmen.
Save Our State Rally
Join the grassroots coalition members for a rally on the front steps of the Old Capitol Building beginning at 12:00pm. Grassroots leaders will be speaking on key legislative bills that merit our support or opposition. Media opportunity will be available after each speaker completes their five minute presentation. At 1:30pm Senate President Mike Haridopolos will address the crowd on a topic of his choice.
New Tea Party Caucus First Meeting
Please join Representatives Weinstein and Metz and other legislators and members of Florida grassroots Tea Party organizations from around the state for the first meeting of the Florida Tea Party Caucus.
When: 4:30pm to 5:15pm
Where: The Historic Capitol (Room 215) Senate Chamber
The Florida Tea Party Caucus will seek to facilitate communication between the Florida Legislature and Florida grassroots Tea Party organizations.
