Coonbottom Pilau "The 2007 Pilau was held less than a mile from the site of my Gran' Paw Peavy's Welcome Station. Thank you Uncle Camp, Gary Smith and The Tallahassee Democrat for the Letters to the Editor below. Let's build on our history. Don't Dump the Pilau. Five Tricon Hats for the Letters and the Coonbottom Pilau. As my uncles have confirmed the racoons would cross the road just south of the main intersection at the road dip near the Concordia Baptist Church." Pace

Tallahassee's most experienced performing artist and traveler will be at the Pilau again, see photo of H.J. Kuntry below and go to H.J. Kuntry "On the Road Again."

Shown above is my Gran'paw Peavy's Pioneer Welcome Station, located one mile north of the sawmill and low road bottom and stream where racoons and other critters crossed the road. Gran'paw and the Peavy family had pilau's cooked in a washtub long before he and neighbors started Concordia Baptst Church.
Thank you Tallahassee Democrat for this photo and Pioneer Welcome Station article. I was one of the "egg hunting granchildred" mentioned in the Democrat article. Pace
